Prof Dr.  Matthew H. S. Kuofie  is 1) a world distinguished university executive and professor, 2) a global business executive, and 3) a politician.
He holds a Ph D in Systems Engineering from Oakland University, Michigan; an MBA in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University, Illinois;  and an MS in Computer Science from Old Dominion University, Virginia, all from USA. He also holds a BS in Statistics and Mathematics from the University of Ghana. 
 
He is a member of the Madonna University (U.S.) Council for International Education. He also serves on the Board of Governors of the Garden City University College, Ghana. He has been targeted to serve as the president/vice chancellor of a proposed global university. He has negotiated and signed numerous partnership agreements (memorandum of understandings) with governments, universities and businesses around the world.

He teaches international business management, international marketing and information technology. He has expertise in international finance.
During 2009, he presented in many countries including Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, UAE, UK and US, "A Strategic Model for Addressing the Global Economic Crises.” The main components of the model are 1) triple hybrid management and 2) knowledge management/IT. The subscomponents of the triple hybrid management are 1) government, 2) academia, 3) corporate, 4) marketing, 5) management/economics, and 6) finance/accounting.

Prof  Kuofie teaches/has taught, given seminars, and/or organized conferences at various hotels/universities, including the University of Michigan, USA; Central Michigan Univewrsity, USA; Chou University, Japan; Fudan University, China; Management Development Institute, India; Europa Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder, Germany; University of Technology in Sydney, Australia; University of Ghana, Ghana; Bangkok University, Thailand; Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong; Harbin Institute Technology Shenzhen Graduate School, China; University of Malaya, Malaysia; Mara Sarakham University, Thailand; and Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand.  Prof. Kuofie has published numerous journal and conference papers. He has served as chairperson at a number of conferences. He serves as an editor-in-chief of some journals, including the International Journal of Global Business and the Jaournal of Economic Development, Management, IT, Finance and Marketing.  He serves/has served on a number of PhD (Doctoral) Disssertation Committees at various universities in different countries including Australia, Thailand, UK, and USA.

 He was an outstanding speaker at the United Nations World Summit, November 16-18, 2005 in Tunis, Tunisia
 
Prof. Dr. Kuofie ran for the Beverly Hills, Michigan, United States, City (Village) Council during the November 4, 2008 United States General Election.
He is running for United States Representative in Congress (in the Michigan 9th Congressional District) in the November 2, 2010 General Election. He is running as an independent candidate.
 

Dr. Kuofie deals with government officials in countires around the world.  
Dr. Kuofie leads Global Strategic Management Inc (GSMI), USA. ( GSMI is a consortium of international experts of academicians, government officials, and business leaders living in countries all around the world.  GSMI helps governments, universities/academics, and businesses/industries around the world apply best practices
in governance, business, information technology, ..., to address global issues, and improve quality of life/economic development.) Dr. Kuofie worked for companies, including Systems Solutions International, USA and Electronics Data Systems/General Motors, USA. He held various positions, including project manager, president and chief executive officer. 
 
Some Awards:

On December 3, 2010 Dr. Matthew Kuofie was presented with the Egypt Assiut University highest Award given by the University to an individual. The Award was given at the Third Annual International Business Conference held at the Hyatt Regency, Dearborn, Michigan, United States.  Dr. Kuofie was given the award for his outstanding accomplishments in United States and global politics, academia and business in addressing global issues. The Award was presented by Dr Mohamed Hossam Aboul-Nasr on behalf of the Vice Chancellor of the University.

On October 10, 2010 Dr..Kuofie was presented with an outstanding keynote speaker award at the International Research Conference in  Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico;  the Conference was attended by over 6,000 participants including the Mayor of Parral and the Representative of the governor  of Chihuahua.

 
On September 14, 2009, at the World Summit on Financial Economic and International Business held in Washington DC, USA, Dr. Kuofie was presented with the Golden Globe Award –the highest award given to an individual by Madonna University, USA.
   
Due to Professor Kuofie’s outstanding accomplishments all around the world in academia, government/politics, global business and economic development, he was honored with a Wole Soyinka Education Award in Detroit, United States of America on August 1, 2009. The renowned Wole Soyinka won a Noble Prize in 1986.
 
On June 3, 2009, the City Council of Detroit, USA, honored Dr. Kuofie with THE SPIRIT OF DETROIT AWARD for his  exceptional achievement, outstanding leadership and his dedication for improving quality of life.
 
On May 10, 2009 Dr. Kuofie was presented with Dubai Exemplary Award by the Ruler of Dubai who is also the vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates at the First Annual International Conference on Global Business.
